HS ENTERPRISE LTD. (HSEL) was founded by Lt. Col. A.S. Helal Uddin, psc (Retd) in 1981. Initially, it was a supplier of goods to defence forces and to various government and autonomous bodies. HS Enterprise Ltd. also made irrigation pumps and supplied them to Asian Development Bank Projects.

In 1983, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. offered HSEL the sale of HONDA Generators and Mini Vans. In 1987, HSEL was granted license for assembly of motorcycles. Gradually HSEL became market leader of motorcycles and portable generators.

In late 2005, HSEL was awarded distributorship of Chery Automobiles in Bangladesh. Chery is gradually giving popularity with its range Sedans, Hatchbacks and SUVs, available at affordable prices and backed by good quality, bumper to bumper warranty and good service backup.

HSEL moved into assembly of Mini Trucks in 1999. The plant is capable of assembly, paint and making bodies of 1500 vehicles annually. Its modern paint shop with heat treatment room is reputed to be the best in the country. This assembly line premises covers over ten acres of land, and has been established by technical assistance from Changan Automobile Co. Ltd., a major manufacturer of vehicles in China. The locally assembled dual fuel EMMA brand Human Haulers (Tampoo) and Delivery Vans have earned fame as a workhorse, giving good payback to operators.

HSEL has its Motorcycle assembly line at Sreepur near Dhaka with Chassis welding, Engine assembling, Painting and testing facilities.

EMMA Motors, a sister concern of HSEL has been established in 1997 to expand primarily into retail sale of motorcycle. Currently EMMA has 51 showrooms, selling famous brands as Piaggio, Jialing and EMMA.

HSEL has developed an excellent network of retail outlets with motorcycles, spare parts and trained mechanics to provide good after-sales service for its products. HSEL owns over 51 showrooms all over the country in the name of EMMA Motors. We sell EMMA and Jialing brand motorcycle.

Since 2003, HSEL has entered into CNG stations with conversion workshops. Natural gas being very economical, it is gaining popularity in Bangladesh. Every day our CNG Stations are providing alternative fuel to thousands of vehicles. We have stations at Dhaka, Gazipur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Bogra and Tangail.

HS Agro Complex has started in mid 2008 with a resolve to provide quality fish and horticultural products. It is expected that this HSEL project will satisfy customers with excellent quality products at home and abroad in very short time.

HSEL providers job opportunity for over four hundred employees. It is also trying hard to contribute to society. “Capt. Helal Education Trust” has been setup in Sunamganj District in 1997 charred by the deputy commissioners and provides scholarships to over 300 students of the region. "Capt. Helal Vata" is provided monthly to 250 destitute freedom fighters of the liberal war in Shunamganj, Chattak, Doarabazar and Bashtala areas since 1998. A high school has been setup in Laxmipur and a college in Bangla Bazar in Chattak Upazilla. In 2008 a Chattak liberation war Sub-sector Memorial has been setup at Bashtala. With 40 Bighas of donated land surrounded by Meghalaya hills on 3-sides, beautiful tall memorial and adjacent graves of Freedom Fighters of the Sub-sector, who gave their lives during the liberation war of 1971, presents a serene remembrance of resistance to the occupation army.

HSEL is a small and yet an efficient organization working relentlessly for making the dreams of a better future for our children take shape. We believe that every single customer is a part of this contribution to society.
